Sasha grinned. Of course I'm sure! I can't lose you guys as trainers, and I love having you guys live here as my friends. You can't have a family living in a house full of people in their twenties. You need to go out on your own to some degree, and I think this is the perfect balance. You can have your own house, a nice barn for your horses...room for more, since you guys have been breeding lately. It's the perfect solution.

Angel jumped up and threw her arms around Sasha. "I love you, Sash! You're the best!" Honestly, the adult woman couldn't control her girlish enthusiasm. Sasha had just made her already happy day even more fantastic, if that was possible. Angel just couldn't wait, not only would she be able to have her own home, with her family, horses, and land, but she wouldn't be more than a short trek across a few acres to Sasha and the only place she had ever truly considered home. Her life would truly be complete. Angel dropped her arms from around Sasha, and turned to Gerard, big blue eyes holding more excitement than a six year old at her birthday party. She threw her arms around her fiance, grinning like a madman.

Sasha hugged Angel back. Well thanks, Sasha grinned when the younger woman finally pulled back. Gerard hugged her as well, picking her up off her feet and spinning her around, laughing. This is gonna be fantastic, babe, he said before kissing her. He finally set her back down on her feet. You guys should take a ride around the grounds today, try and figure out where you want to put your place, Sasha suggested. I don't know about you, but I think it'd be nice to have your place all set up by the time the little one comes.
Gerard looked to Angel. Sounds good to me, if you're up to it. Then we can start planning and looking for someone to build it. Gerard himself was as excited as a child; he was ready to start their life together.

The young woman couldn't stop smiling. She released Sasha,a nd hugged Gerard, allowing him to pick her up. Grasping his hand, she looked up at him. "Let's go!" Angel was very enthusiastic - almost like a child at Christmas. She led Gerard outside, still smiling happily. Angel released Gerard's hand, and quickly went to the barn where she knew she would be greeted with a happy whinny from her pretty grey-roan mutt mare. Although Moon was getting up there in age, she was still happy to accompany Angel on her many adventures.

Gerard was glad to see that Angel shared his enthusiasm. Alright, he said, following Angel down the hall. See you later, Sasha! A minute later, they were at the barn. Gerard saw Angel go to Moon. Is she going to give you a smooth enough ride? I don't want you getting jostled too much. I'm sure we have a gaited horse around here somewhere- His big Friesian stallion, Black Parade, stuck his head out of the stall and had pushed his head into Gerard's back. Thanks, Raid, he muttered, rubbing the stallion's forehead. You better get some manners, or I'll take someone else out, Gerard scolded. Raid snorted and tossed his head. He sighed and turned away from the horse, back to Angel, to see if she'd made a decision.

Angel collected Moon's halter from the peg on her stall, slipping it on the mare, bringing her out of the stall and into the crossties. She waved her hand nonchalantly at Gerard. "She'll be just fine. So will I. I promise." Angel glanced over her shoulder, grinning at her fiance. Buckling the crosstie clips, Angel turned her attention to her mare, brushing her entire body, combing out her mane and tail, picking her hooves and giving her lots of love and petting. The big draught cross shoved her nose into Angel's side as she was walking in front of her, and the girl gave the horse a hard, silent stare. "You should know better than that." Angel made her way into the tack room, picking up Moon's tack, saddling and bridling her quickly. She put the halter back on the stall, and mounted the mare, riding out the other end of the barn, awaiting Gerard.

As soon as Gerard heard Angel's response, he put Raid's halter on and led him out into the aisle onto another set of crossties. He then went to the tack room and grabbed a grooming bucket and Raid's tack. Setting the latter on the ground, he quickly went to work grooming the massive stallion, giving him plenty of carrots along the way. You're spoiled, you know that? He murmured. Once he'd finished grooming, he put the stallion's saddle pad and saddle on, then put away his grooming bucket and grabbed his gear The stallion puffed out his stomach whenever he knew he was going to have to do work. Gerard quickly put on his half chaps, riding gloves, helmet, and stuck his crop in his back pocket. He then tightened the girth and put Raid's bridle on and put the halter on the stall door. Gerard pulled the crop out of his back pocket and mounted the stallion, riding out to meet Angel at the end of the barn. He checked his girth one more time; it was now it's normal tightness. Alright, let's start out this way, he said, pointing to the nearest trail and putting Raid into motion. Are you feeling okay? I don't want you to push anything. If you only want to trot, that's fine. Or if you feel good enough, we'll canter, or- he cut off here, looking down. Sorry, I'm being a bit overprotective, aren't I? I just...I just don't want you getting hurt. The two had reached the trail now. Thankfully, Sasha kept the trails pretty well cleared, and they were wide enough for two horses to go side by side in most parts. Gerard always enjoyed being under the leafy canopy, seeing the dappled light on the ground, the trees. The trails were one of his favorite places. They would live somewhere in here, soon. Back in a wooded area, in a nice little house. It would be heavenly.

Angel waited outside of the barn for Gerard. She let her feet slip out of the stirrups, leaning on Moon's neck, petting her. She really did love her horse. However, the feeling of having no stirrups made Angel miss galloping bareback - but she truly knew that she would not be able to feel that freedom for at least nine months. Angel heard Raid's tromping hoofsteps in the barn, and she sat up, sliding her feet back into the stirrup irons, looking over her shoulder where Gerard and Raid would be coming from. She checked her cinch absentmindedly, making sure Moon would be comfortable. Angel urged Moon forth as Gerard began the trail, making sure that there was plenty of room between the two horses before she pulled Moon beside Raid, so that it was easier to talk with Gerard. "You're being very overprotective, love," Angel smiled at Gerard gently. "It really is okay - I'm fine." She reached over, patting Gerard's leg pleasantly. Squeezing her calves, Moon began a soft jog, and she turned her head, urging her fiance on with her.

Gerard smiled back at Angel. This was going to be an interesting nine months. He was going to have to learn to not be as protective, otherwise he would be driven crazy. Gerard nudged Raid into a trot and began posting, quickly catching back up to Angel and Moon. So did you have any kind of place in mind? I mean, we can find someplace back here in the woods, or out in a meadow somewhere. There's plenty of places we can look. He knew the two probably wouldn't be able to search the whole property in a day, but wouldn't it be great if they could find a place that they both fell in love with instantly? Gerard tried to imagine where he would want to live as he waited for Angel's answer.

Angel grinned at Gerard, feeling comfortable at Moon's soft jog. She glanced around, looking at where they should head off to first. Angel first saw a path through the trees. Giving Gerard a "look", she flicked her head to the left, towards the path. "Let's go through there." The path was just barely wide enough for both horses to fit - it was rarely used for riding. She loved the dappled sunlight filtering through the leaves. Angel conspicuously watched Gerard, allowing Moon to pick her own way along the trail. "Gerard, you're going to go prematurely grey if you worry as much for the next nine months as you are now." She smiled mischievously, completely aware of how careful she should be being while riding. "Where do you see us living?"

Gerard followed Angel's gesture and took the path to the left, and shook his head at Angel's comment. I'll be better in a few days. This is new territory for me, he said, ducking under a branch. He continued thinking on his ideal home. When he thought about it, he thought about a home near the woods, but not in them. A nice big open field, with some kind of freshwater near it. He'd been working with Sasha's mustangs a bit, and had thought about someday owning a couple of his own to train. He'd also liked their pasture, nice and wide, with a small stream running through it. It was almost like their natural habitat. In his vision, he also saw a small stable, a covered riding ring, and a round pen. A small house in a big field on the edge of the woods. It would be nice for there to be a stream nearby. I don't know about you, but besides the stable and a couple of pastures, I'd like to have covered rding ring and a round pen. What about you?

She grinned, of course it was new territory for him. To Angel, it seemed so easy - easing into pregnancy from being a slightly wild adult. She nudged her left foot into Moon's side, pushing the mare near Raid so that she could pat Gerard's leg reassuringly. Looking around, Angel began to envision her perfect home. A small, quaint little house with a good sized porch for leisurely evenings. Thinking longer, she could see a couple little paddocks, and two large pastures, all with fresh, natural water sources. A nice, classic style barn, and a covered riding area. "About the same. I want the house to have a nice, big porch, though. With those old style wooden rockers. So we can grow old and rock together." Angel snickered at her own statement, and looked at Gerard, while keeping Moon in motion. "And the barn should be an old-style classic horse barn. Like the ones down at the track. You know what I mean?" As Angel thought, she kept coming up with more and more things that would make their home absolutely perfect to raise their family in.

Gerard laughed at Angel's comment. I think I could deal with a porch, he said with a grin. See, when you say 'old-style classic horse barn', I see one of those big old red barns. Is that what you're thinking about? He ducked under another low branch and looked ahead. The trail was mostly woods as far as he could see. He knew they had only been on the trail a couple of minutes, but he was impatient. Gerard wanted to find the perfect spot so they could start building their home and their life together. It would be ideal if it were close enough for us to just be able to ride up to the stables, he said. I don't particularly feature having to drive 10 minutes to get there. A ten minute ride, sure, He laughed. Raid broke into a canter, but Gerard reined him back in. I know you love trails, bud, but you gotta behave.
