Sasha quickly typed up a list and printed it out, posting it on her bulletain board. The employees usually checked up in her office for riding schedules and such, so they would see it and could check it they were curious.

Lilly studied the list, wonderiing. Her mare didn't click with her, but she loved the chestnut all the same. However, with Love having Cupid, she needed a new horses, and she wanted a jumper. Her gaze drifted over the horses names she knew so well. She had seen them training, watched them in the paddock and knew their ground manners, some better then others. Her gaze lingered on Deal Me In, a gelding she cared for, a gelding she'd looked at when he'd sold to Kingwood. Also on Corvette and Princess Guy, and the horses for sale soon.

Jen made her way up the stairs to the office, a list of horses in hand. Though the note of horses for sale had been on the board had been up for over a week, Sasha had decided to keep it there, should any employee change their mind.
She walked into the office to find Lilly studying the list. Hey, Lilly, Jen greeted her with a smile. She grabbed a pen, then moved to the empty space beside Lilly. She quickly dashed off Roar, '66 Corvette, Colby, Ashes, Princess Guy, Sunny, nigel, Prince of Spades, and Buz. Who was it that you were looking at?

Lilly smiled and greeted her friend. "Hey!" Lilly sighed as she watched Jen cross off many horses she was interested in. Vette was brilliant and Princess Guy and Colby were great jumpers. Never mind. "I'm not sure, I just was looking for a new horse and I know that it'd be safer buying one from here." Her gaze lingered on Deal, but she knew she'd have to work hard with him like she had been with Cariba to bring jumping into his resume. Everyone at the stables knew she loved jumping, and eventing, so dressage and cross country were up there.

Yeah. No better place to buy your horse than the place you know best. Jen glanced at the list once more, realizing she'd just crossed off several of the horses that Lilly could have had her eye on. She then remembered back to the auction where she and Sasha had bought Deal Me In with Crystal a few years back. The two had ben sold together, and she'd been unable to care for them both. Now would be a great opportunity for her to buy the horse she'd wanted-if she still wanted him, of course.
You know, Deal could make a great jumper with the right ride. Jen commented casually.

Hmm. Lilly said, her mind whirling. SHe had always liked the chestnut, he was so sweet. And having ridden him and cared for him for a couple of years now, and she had gotten into the twisty turns and fast paced action of barrel racing. He could be a fantastic games horse, though big, it'd be possible. And light jumping on the side. Yeah. I know. She thourght for a moment more, torn. She had a fabulos jumper lined up for her, who she adored, but she loved Deal. How may horses could she take? Jen? How much are you asking?

Jen watched as Lilly struggled to come to a decision. Although she felt somewhat guilty about nudging her friend into buying a horse, there was no better person to own Deal. From what she'd seen, Lilly and the gelding worked great together. She knew all Deal's tricks, how he acted before spooking, and how to calm him down properly after he'd been startled. It would be a good challenge for Lilly to own a Western horse.
If I remember correctly, $2,300.

The thing is, I've got another horse lined up, and Love and Cupid... How many horses can I take? Llly actually knew she could juggle them all, excersise etc, but she worried about her limit of agisted horses as staff. Although she'd been there for a few years, Lilly had never heard about a limit. She wasn't sure. She loved Kingwood, and helped out when ever she could, with the horses or with washing up and cooking. But she felt like she really awanted Deal. She could just keep riding him, but he was for sakle and she didn't like him going to a new home, away from her when they'd developed such a bond.

There's not really a limit. In case you haven't noticed," she lowered her voice, "Sasha owns almost all the horses here." Jen laughed softly, a grin pulling at her lips. "Although, most of the horses are only bought to be retrained and sold. Only a few does she keep strictly for herself. She reflected on this for a moment before snapping back to reality. I think after the fifth horse you have to start paying board for each extra horse or something like that. It also depends on how hard you work. But so far we haven't had that with anyone. And you're a hard worker, so it shouldn't be a problem.

ooc;; Sorry major comp chrash
Lilly smiled at the compliment, thinking hard. Thanks. And just so you know, at the momentI don't plan on ay more after him. She said softly, then draw a deep breath, and ran her fingers through her brown hair. She knew she had that money in the bank, saved for a horse. Okay, I'd like to take him. She said, her smile growing to a grin.

Jen grinned. Alright then, let me give Sasha a call. She whipped out her cell phone and dialed Sasha quickly. Hey Sash, it's Jen. Lilly's going to take Deal. Mhm. Right. Good luck. Putting her phone back into her pocket, she said, Sasha said she'll be there for a few more hours before calling it quits.

Lilly's heart raced. She had made the decision. She falt light headed. She had bourght and sold harses many times, but it didn't get easier for her. Okay. So this means I'll have to wait to see my new boy again. She said, a smnile in place as she joked but her voice somewhat meeker then before. It had nearly broken her heart to she the horse she felt was hers get onto the truck and drive away from her, but he was coming back.

Jen nodded with a grin. She saw the look on Lilly's face, could hear the difference in her voice. Don't worry, she said, her grin widening. She's not going to accept a better offer. Jen gave her a one-armed hug before crossing Deal off the list. There. It's official. Now how about we get back to work?

Somehow crossing it off the list didn't feel offical, yetmade her feel better. I know, I know! She laughed, and hugged Jen back with one arm. She nodded. Yeah, we better. What do you need to do? She said, steping away from the office.

Jen followed her out of the office and closed the door behind her. Let's see...I think today Sasha wanted me to work with the yearlings, teaching them how to be caught and all that. You're welcome to help if you want, or you can go ride whoever's on your list.

Lilly grinned and nodded. She loved helping with the young ones. I've worked them all for today, except Cariba and White Fire cause it's their day off. So If you like I'd love to help you out! She laughed her mind drifting to her two favorte horses to ride Cariba, for her ever-advancing jumping training, and Jguar, for the trick riding.

Alright, great. We'll be able to get through them quicker that way. We'll probably just practice catching them in one of the rings so we don't have to chase them all over a pasture. Do you want the indoor or outdoor ring?
Jen led the way to the yearling barn as she spoke, where Kingwood's 27 yearlings were stabled. When Sasha had originally told her how many foals were expected, Jen had thought she was out of her mind. Sasha had assured her, however, that most would be sold. Although the money recieved for the foals would be good, it would be a lot of hard work, especially with working with the mistreated horses. And Sasha was buying more all the time! Jen shook her head and opened the pasture gate.
There's fifteen fillies and twelves colts. Which ones would you rather take?

Lilly hesitated as they walked together, side by side. Indoor or outdoor? Then she glabced at the sky. The clouds had gathered. It wouldn'rt rain, she didn't think, but all the same the wind may cause distraction for the yearlings, the indoor would be easier and quieter. Indoor, it's clo--ser... She said, a pause in her word as she gasped slightly, taken aback by the number of yearlings. This would be tough. She knew there were alot, but hadn't seen them ALL in one spot so just realised the great number. She laughed. Wow, Sash really opted for the young ones this year huh? Um, I don't mind, I guess fillies. Lilly didn't really mind, but her own little one was a colt, and thought she'd go for the larger number, as Jen always had alot of work, the least she could do was lighten the load, if only an inch. Lilly stepped through the parsture gaste, ready for action she rolled up her sleeves. Just tell me what you want me to do. She said with a grin, her gaze cast over the little ones.

Jen grinned slightly as Lilly saw all the yearlings. Yeah, I guess so. Thankfully, we're selling a bunch of them, once they've got a bit more halter training and such. Just the basics, then they're off to the sale yard. She realized she probably sounded like she didn't like the yearlings, but it was just the opposite. Honestly, she loved watching the foals grow up to be so big, but it was just so much work. Sasha had been up at all hours of the night lately finishing paperwork and replying to e-mails because she'd gotten through her horses and gone straight to work with the yearlings. Because of the work already started, some of the yearlings were easy to catch.
I'm thinking that we bring them in first. That way we don't have to come all the way out here every time we finish with one. Once we're done with that, we'll just play with them a little in the indoor or round pen. Just leading, trotting them around a bit, just stuff to get them more accustomed to humans and being handled.

Lilly nodded, understanding the buisness more and more as she continued to work at Kingwood. She couldn't get enough of it, she loved the horses, the places, the people and the atmosphere. She listened carefully, and stepped into the parsture. Lilly nodded again after Jen had finished her second comment, the set of instructions. Alright! I thing I can bring in three at once, shall we just do it and get them into the arena? She asked, swinnging several leadropes and halters over her sholder, waiting for her boss' final confirmation that she could get to it, bringing them all in.
