Angel .x.
Curiousity was getting the best of Angel. She folded her arms across her chest, it made it look like she was cold...when although it was getting a bit chillier wasn't the case. "Oh, Gerard. Tell me what you were really thinking about. Its not cool; not telling me what you're thinking about." Her tone turned teasing at the end of her sentantce. Angel leaned over and kissed his lips ever so softly, hers just barely brushing his. She tilted her head to the side slightly, like a curious puppy. Angel looked up at him innocently. "Please tell me?" She asked quietly.

Unfortunately, Angel knew him too well and knew how to get what she wanted out of him. The puppy dog face was just too much for him to take. Gerard had yet to be able to successfully resist it.
I was thinking about our future together. You know, stuff like... he trailed off, unsure whether he should continue on and tell her. Again, fear washed over him as he thought about her reaction to his words. He drew up some courage and continued. ...like getting married and having a house and kids. Gerard finished quickly, his fearful eyes meeting hers to gauge her reaction.

Angel .x. Angel grinned as Gerard finally gave in and told her what he had been thinking about. "Aww." Angel said quietly and hugged Gerard. "Well, at least now I know I wasn't the only one thinking about it." Angel continued, her voice soft. She was flattered, not freaked. If...if he was thinking about that, did that mean that he was thinking about marrying her? That would be a dream come true. As cheesy as it sounds; Angel had known from that very first day that she appeared at Kingwood that there was a connection between her and Gerard. Not just a friendship, but something more, something that made Angel want to be perfect, not just for herself, but a perfect that would make Gerard happy. She, personally felt that she hadn't achieved this...but, if Gerard was considering-it didn't even have to come true-marrying her, she must've been doing something right. She hugged him again and streached her lips to meet his. "I love you." She murmured.

A slight blush crept up onto his face and he smiled shyly. Angel had thankfully had a positive reaction to his thoughts. Perhaps that meant that she wanted to get married as well? It was just that moment that Angel said those three little words that had the ability to make his heart soar.
I love you too. Gerard replied softly, his lips meeting hers. Perhaps it was time to start looking at rings after all...

(( Angel )) Able to finally breathe after Gerard's quiet announcement, Angel sighed contentedly as he smiled and blushed. Her fingertips brushed his cheek. "You're blushing?" She asked, smiling a bit coyly herself. "You shouldn't be embarrassed in the slightest, Gerard." She said softly; she felt weightless as he returned her affection and leaned into her kiss. Yet another question made her think, but not take her mind off of Gerard's lips on hers. So what does this mean? Is it Gerard's way of a not-so-traditional way of proposing to me? Or maybe she was just reading into it. She broke away and was surprised to find herself breathless.

Yeah, well, you know. He mumbled. For a moment, Gerard considered proposing to her on the spot. But it was Angel, and she deserved better than that. He had to come up with some fantastic way to propose to her. If they were going to spend the rest of their lives together, it had to be memorable and something that would shock her. Pulling away from the kiss, he vowed to himself that tomorrow he'd go to look at rings.

((Angel)) "Yeah, I do know." Gerard's reaction had made her think about their first few weeks together as a couple. Sasha finding them crashed on his bed. Frankie. Their huge fight. Sure, a lot of the memories weren't happy, but, there was something that always made her return to him. Like he had an invisible string tied between her and him that wouldn't let her get too far away, or into too much trouble. Sasha, nor Jen had ever said anything about them being together, and, it seemed as long as they were mature--and relatively responsible--that the owners of the stable that the couple worked at did not have a problem with the romance between a stable hand and what should be a co-owner. Angel hugged Gerard, her face in his chest. He would never know the difference in life that he made for her. He' d never realize how much Angel had always needed him. For her, Gerard was like an addictive drug. She had known that wiht him she did a lot of things she wouldn't normally do, and she couldn't put him down. He hadn't seen her when she returned from her "escapade" the first time she ran off. When she found him asleep from the amount of booze he had consumed, her heart had broken into two right then and there. It had been all her fault. It had always been her fault.

As if they were connected, Gerard could feel the melancholy mood that had grabbed ahold of Angel. It was confusing-first overjoyed, now sad. This was one of the reasons women made no sense, he decided. They can change moods in an instant, with seemingly no reason. He shook this thought from his mind and squeezed Angel tighter to him, hoping to make her feel at least a little bit better. What are you thinking about? He asked, an indirect way of asking what was wrong.

Letting herself be pulled closer to her lover, Angel looked up at Gerard as he spoke. "Er...just, stuff that's happened. All the crap I made you go through." Angel found no reason to go into all the details of her guilt. Not right now, too many things were too perfect at this very moment. Streaching up, she kissed Gerard's lips lightly. "Don't worry about it." She assured him, attempting a smile, and leaning her head on his chest. The sky was getting darker now, and she knew they'd have to return to the house at some point, but she really didn't want to move from her position snuggled against Gerard. Angel's hand found Gerard's and she laced their fingers together.

Well stop thinking about it. It's in the past. He kissed the top of her head, then met her lips. His eyes found the sky briefly. It was getting late, they'd probably have to head in soon. Even though he didn't want to pull away from her, he did. Why don't we go in. Are you hungry? Gerard stood up and grabbed ahold of her hands, helping her stand up. He wasn't hungry himself, but he wasn't about to let Angel go hungry.

Angel sighed, and nodded in agreement as he spoke. She probably should let it go. She was here, and she loved him, and apparently, no matter how unfair it was to him, he loved her, too. A bit disappointed when he pulled away from her, Angel kept her feelings under wraps. She knew she had to be responsible at some point. "I'm not really hungry, personally." She said, taking his hands and standing. Angel laced her fingers with his on one hand, and stood next to him, perfectly content to never move again. But, it was getting colder as it got darker, and Angel walked towards the house with Gerard.

Cool, me either. Gerard released her hand and scooped her up into his arms. Comfy? he asked, heading towards the pasture gate. It didn't take much to shift her into one arm and open the gate with the other. Once he'd closed the gate behind him, he shifted her back into both arms and carried her to the front door. This is where you get off, because there are stairs ahead. Stairs and carrying people don't generally mix in my experience. He smiled and took her hand, letting them into the house. Gerard led her up the stairs and into his room, where he lay back on the bed and closed his eyes. I'm so tireed. It feels like it was such a long day.

Angel gasped as Gerard swung her into his arms, and she looked up at him, about to teasingly scold him, but their eyes met, and she lost her train of thought. "Yes, very comfy, actually." She said after he'd asked her if she was comfortable, she leaned her head against his shoulder as he carried her. Angel was almost afraid he was going to drop her as he shifted her weight onto one arm to close the gate, but, no, he didn't. As they reached the house, Angel slipped out of his arms. She smiled and spoke. "Darn, I was looking forward to you attempting that. But, then again, you could've dropped me, and then that wouldn't've been good." Angel smiled as he took her hand, leading her up to his bedroom. It seemed as if no one else was in the house, and even if they were, they were awfully quiet. It didn't seem like it was that late. Perhaps it was later than Angel had guessed. She followed him to his bed, and lay next to him, she watched him for a moment, before her fingertips reached out and grazed across his cheekbone.

Tingles ran down his spine at her soft touch and he opened his eyes. It amazed him that her beauty still shocked him each time he looked at her. He loved the way her skin seemed to glow, and the light shone off her glossy black hair. Her vivid green eyes always managed to find a new way to surprise them, with hints of gold and blue. Soft pink lips, so inviting, especially when she smiled or laughed. Gerard sighed contentedly and ran his finger along her collarbone.

As Gerard opened his eyes, Angel was taken breathless for what seemed the hundreth time that day. Her eyes searched his as he watched her. His fingers brushed across her collarbone, and a shiver ran throughout her body. Gerard's contened sigh thrilled her inside. It was still hard for Angel to comprehend how absoloutely perfect he was. His dark black hair that always seemed so soft and smooth, light glancing off of it, giving it a raven's wing appearance. Bright green eyes, that always seemed to be so gentle but so intense at the same time. Her eyes moved further down his face. His lips. So warm and gentle looking that became passionate when they kissed. Knowing this, she leaned forward and kissed him softly, before she pulled away, and continued to look at him in silence. Although it was enjoyable to be so peaceful and serene, Angel had succumbed to the want that overpowered her when she was around him. She couldn't believe that she wanted him so badly. She found his lips again with hers, and kissed him, a bit of an edge to it.

He pressed his lips to hers gently, savoring the taste of her. He was surprised by the second kiss, but he kissed her with an equal amount of edge. Gerard's mind wandered briefly to the trip they'd taken so long ago. He tried not to think about how it had ended-that was the last thing he needed to think about when they were here, on his bed, alone. That would surely be the last thing she wanted. After all, they'd just gotten back together today. She couldn't want to already...could she?

Pleased with his reaction, she fought the urge to wrap her arms around him like she'd never let go. Instead, she pulled away from the kiss, and blushed lightly. "Sorry." It probably wasn't the best thing to be giving all the hints, with an empty house, alone, on his bed, and not really wanting to at the time. Angel pressed herself closer to him, and kissed his cheek. "I love you." And, although she'd said it plenty of times today, she felt the need to say that she loved him again and again. As if expressing her love for him would make all of the past go away. Of course, it was foolish of her to think that such a thing would happen, but she couldn't help it.

Gerard felt her reluctantly pull away from their kiss, delighting in the rosiness of her cheeks. He ignored her apology, instead brushing his thumb against her cheek. You're adorable when you blush, he informed her, meeting her eyes. And I love you as well. Even though he'd heard the words spoken so many times today, they still thrilled him. Yet he could still see something troubling her, a hint of worry in her eyes. She must be back on thinking about our past again, he thought. Quit thinking about it. It's done and gone. Gerard told her sternly.

His comment only made Angel blush a brighter pink, but soon the heat subsided from her cheeks and she closed her eyes as his thumb ran across her cheek gently. She scooted a bit closer to him, and leaned her head against his chest, a sly smirk coming to her lips as he told her to quit thinking about it. "Who's going to stop me?" She asked coyly, moving her head slightly so she could look up at him.

Gerard held her close and kissed her on the forehead. Me, he murmured with a smile. He closed his eyes for a moment, relishing the heat of her body against his. A whinny from outside the window briefly made him wonder just where everyone was. Surely they'd be coming in soon, wouldn't they? The workers of Kingwood rarely worked into the night. He opened his eyes and refocused his attention on Angel. I have special ways to make you forget, remember? He grinned.
