Okay. Kasi replied, following Riley's lead and grabbing Wind again. Hey sweetie. she crooned to her yearling. Wind watched Kasi as she patted her down, not alarmed, just bored. Kasi worked slowly, letting Wind get used to her hands as they made their way to sensitive areas. It's okay honey. she whispered to the yearling.

.x.Alright, let's skip ahead here....x.
For the pair, the day went by quickly in a similar manner. It didn't seem like much time had passed before they had gotten through the entire herd of yearlings. When Riley finally looked at his watch it was 3:30. He wiped the sweat from his brow, and flapped his shirt a few times to get some cold air on his hot, sticky skin. With a sigh, he looked to Kasi. Well, that wasn't too bad. If only it wasn't so hot out. He wandered over to a water spigot and turned it on, taking a few gulps before sticking his head under. Riley turned it off, and shook out his hair a little.
As he did so, Sasha made her way through the yearling barn to the round pen. How did it go, guys? She asked, looking between them.

Yeah. Kasi agreed. She had pulled her hair away from her sticky neck and was about to take a drink when Sasha walked up. Kasi looked to Riley, and shrugged. Not bad. The horses were great. she said smiling at Sasha. We got through all of them, I'm surprised. Kasi walked over to the spigot taking a drink and wetting her neck. Most of her hair got wet, so she ducked her whole head under. Wow, the water's cold! she thought to herself, but she didn't mind. What next boss? Kasi asked wiping her wet hair from her face.

Sasha laughed. You two sure are eager beavers, huh? She grinned, and ran her hand through her hair. It was 3:30, and things were starting to wind up. How about you guys grab your stuff, find yourselves rooms, and settle in. Help yourselves to whatever's in the kitchen. After you guys eat, you can start looking through the rehab horses to see which ones you want to work on.
Riley thought this over for a moment. Who are the rehab horses? He asked.
Sasha thought this over for a moment. Well, ,the most severe case is Sol-leks. I'm not so sure that I want you guys working on him yet, he can be pretty dangerous. Why don't you guys go get settled and I'll let you know who I want to work with when you get finished.

Great! I'm starving. Thanks Sasha! said Kasi walking toward the house without waiting for Riley. She was already planning what to make in the kitchen before she even made it into the house.

Riley looked up to see that Kasi was hightailing it for the kitchen. He started jogging to catch up to her. You look like you're on a mission or something. Riley chuckled. He almost had to jog to keep up with her power walk. For a small girl, she sure could move.

Ayup!Kasi said not slowing or even looking at Riley. She was so hungry that she didn't care that her hair was stuck to her sweaty neck and forehead or that her messy ponytail had to be shaken out soon or her hair would be stuck permanently like this. She registered that Riley looked amazing with his loose shirt and jeans even with the sweat and dirt and messyness that was his soft hair. Stop it! she told herself firmly.

Riley watched her ponytail swing back and forth ahead of him. He had mostly given up on keeping up with her at this point, at least until he had some food in his stomach. Please tell me that you're gonna make something that will fill up my tummy. He poured childishly. He was always grumpy when he was hungry. If he was going to be working with troubled horses today, he needed some super sustenance. You never knew what could be coming.
