After picking up Riley from the hotel Kasi drove her Chevy to Kingwood Stables. She parked by the house and waited for Riley to get out. Locking the car she walked toward the Main Barn, where she could here voices and horses. Come on Riley. I think we can ask someone in here. Kasi said pushing Riley in front of her, toward the voices. They walked in and saw Sasha talking with a couple of stable hands. She wondered if it was rude to just walk up to someone you didn't know. Kasi grinned, thinking of how she met Riley. But she didn't want to be rude by butting into a conversation. So she and Riley stood next to the doors, waiting for Sasha to finish.

Riley allowed himself to be pushed along the driveway to what looked to be the largest barn of them all. When he got through the doorway, he saw the woman who must be Sasha. The slender blonde was giving instructions to stablehands, gesturing with her freehand and occasionally looking down at a clipboard piled high with papers. He hoped it wouldn't take terribly long, he was eager to work.
Sasha finished up with the stable hands and noticed a strange woman and man standing in the doorway of the main barn. She studied them up and down briefly, wondering if they were friends of the stable hands or her exercise riders. But surely, then, she would have seen them before...Instead of pondering the matter further, Sasha stepped up to them, smiling. Hi, is there something I can help you with?

I hope so, Kasi said smiling. My name is Kasi and this is Riley and we heard that there was a possibility of a job here at Kingwood and you were the person to talk to. she said. Kasi hoped she didn't sound too forward, or that Riley minded she was talking for him. She caught his eye when she finished, asking if that was ok.

Riley nodded, indicating that it was alright.
Sasha looked the two up and down once more. Sasha Simbel, she said, offering her hand to each of them in turn. What kind of experience do you have with horses? Are you looking for jobs as stable hands? Or would you rather exercise? Do you have any training abilities? Any disciplines that you specialize in? Sasha asked the basic questions flowing off of her tongue. She was starting to enter her disciplined horses into competitions, and starting to train those that hadn't specialized yet. It definitely couldn't hurt to have a couple of more exercisers or trainers.

My dad taught me everything. I can do training, exercise, anything. I'm not really specialized, just background. I've been around horses for years. I haven't ridden in a couple but I remember everything. Kasi said, shaking Sasha's hand and beaming.

Riley shook Sasha's hand. Pretty much the same for me. I used to exercise racers and jumpers, and can do some training in jumping and dressage. He put in, meeting Sasha's eyes as she looked at him. Any job would be good for us. We need to get on our feet. I know I personally need to make some money so I can afford a place to live besides the hotel.
Sasha considered the pair of them, respectively. They both sounded capable enough. She figured she could try them out for a week or so and see how they were. Well, apartments and houses in Paradise City can be pretty expensive. If you'd like, you two can stay here. There's plenty of room, and most of my riders live here as well. We're very much a family.

Thank you so much! Kasi said beaming. She looked at Riley, excitement in her hazel eyes, brightening them. What first? she said to Sasha.

Riley beamed. {lol. such a reaction, Riley} Sasha grinned. No problem. Why don't you two walk around for an hour or so, check out the barns, the house, the kennel. Then meet me back here and I will have found something for the two of you to do. Sound good?{sorry for the lack of post }

Thank you Sasha. Kasi said sincerely. Come on Riley. She walked farther into the barn occasionally petting a head that was sticking out of the door.

{sure? blah, I'm kind of museless today I guess xP} Riley followed Kasi down the aisles, watching as she stroked the heads of the horses. So this is the main barn... He murmured, looking at the plaques that adorned every stall. Every one had Sasha's name at the bottom. I guess these must be her personal horses. I mean, there's no way they can all be just her horses... Riley trailed off as they made it to the next barn. This barn had plaques with different names on the bottom: Gerard Way, Matthew Lush, Angel Kimmel... Riley cocked his head. I wonder if these are the people who work here? Or maybe they're boarders. Before long, they'd reached yet another barn, this one with only a few horses. The horses inside the stalls were in poor condition, at best. They looked like they'd been abused, or locked in a stall without food for three weeks. These plaques read Kingwood Stables at the bottom. Guess I was right... He mumbled, looking up at a large bay horse. Riley took one step closer, and the horse lunged at him, snapping his teeth. Quickly, Riley backed away several steps. I guess they're not all abused...this one must be temperamental. He looked down at the nameplate on his stall. Sol-Leks... He murmured. Wasn't that the name of that alpha dog in The Call of the Wild? The really nasty one? Riley asked Kasi {Okay, maybe I do have a little muse left... }

~lol. actually do you want to have them meet Gerard or Matthew or Billie Joe or something?~
Yeah I think so. Kasi said distractedly. Her back was to Riley but she was shaking slightly, trying to control the tears. All these animals that are so hurt..It's horrible. she thought to herself. She walked out of the stables and into the kennels, Kasi always loved dogs.

Hmmm. I guess that's as good an indicator as any. He mumbled, following Kasi to the kennels. It looks like they're pretty full in here. The kennel was full of Rottweilers and Australian Shepherds. At the end were a couple of massive pens that held litters of puppies, one pen with Aussies, one with Rottweiler mixes. Puppies! Riley exclaimed, dashing over to the pens. They're so adorable! He cried, kneeling down and looking over the top of the pen.

Yeah they are! Kasi said going to the pen. She knelt beside Riley, petting the puppies that were jumping up. They're so sweet! Kasi smiled at Riley. I wonder what Sasha's gonna have us do. she mused aloud. This is so exciting. A job!

I know, right? Riley pondered Kasi's musing. Maybe she'll just have us do stable work for the first few days? If he was a stable owner, he thought this would probably be the most logical thing to do. You didn't necessarily want to put someone you didn't know on the backs of several of your horses to exercise and train.

Yeah. I suppose she'll want to test our abilities. I mean what I think is correct for training could be something wrong, you know? Kasi said. How long has it been? Should we head back to the main barn? she asked as they walked out of the kennel. She spotted some pastures and headed toward them while she waited for Riley's answer.

Yeah, I know what you mean. Riley looked down at his watch. They had about ten minutes to get back to the main barn. It wouldn't take much time to check out the pastures, so he followed her. Just so you know, we've got like ten minutes. He told her, put his arms up on the top rail of a fence.

Okay. Kasi said looking out at the horses that were running around. This is going to be so amazing! she turned to Riley and smiled. I wonder when we'll meet everyone else? Kasi looked at the horses again and turned around, locating the main barn.

Yeah, it is. Riley headed back towards the main barn. Maybe at the house? Or out in the barns, or the arenas. Either way, I'm sure we'll meet everyone soon enough. He looked around, seeing a couple of workers going through barns, followed by horses. Past that, he glimpsed the miles and miles of fencing that surrounded the entire property. Looking back towards the way they drove in, he noticed that there was a gate. He couldn't imagine when they would ever use it-they seemed so open to every one.

Kasi nodded in approval and followed Riley back to the barn. She spotted Sasha and they walked up to her. Kasi was ready to prove herself to Sasha, Riley, and the other workers.

Riley followed Kasi to the main barn, and saw Sasha, reading through the papers on her clipboard. He walked up in front of her, politely waiting for her to notice them.
Sasha looked up from her clipboard to see Riley and Kasi standing before her. Hello again, she said, getting up from the hay bale she'd been sitting on. Get a good look at everything?
