She rolled her eyes at Gerard and clucked to Chazie. Aw shut up. Chazie's too thick-headed for racing. Anybody smarter than me would've never bought him. She said with a sigh and a pat to Chazie's lathered neck. You are soo stupid. She said to the horse. [/blockquote]

Did you try him before buying him? Gerard asked, somewhat doubting she had. Most people knew to try a horse a few times before purchasing them. If she'd done that, she would have seen his "thick-headedness". He gave Bing a pat and walked him around Angel and Chazie, letting him cool off a bit.

She shook her head, ashamed. He was a 'present' from my old foster dad. He sent me is papers a few months ago, I only had to pay $500, so I figured, 'what the h.ell?' so I went along with it. She said with a soft sigh, trying to keep the stallion walking instead of trying to grab bits of shrubs that stood 'round the inside rail. [/blockquote]

I see. Well, I'm sure with some good training from you, he'll be an amazing racer in no time. Gerard continued walking out Bing, who was starting to cool down now. He's about ready to go get hosed down. Once we get to the gate, you wanna go down there with me?

Sure. Angel had dismounted and slid the buckle away from the sheepskin girth, cooling the stallion's belly consiterably. She took the reins in her hand and continued walking near him, his breathing returning to normal quickly. [/blockquote]

Gerard dismounted as well and took off the stallion's tack. He continued to walk Bing out until he'd calmed down. Ready? he asked, hoisting up the tack he was carrying. Bing began to speed up a bit as they came to the gate that lead down to the stables.

Angel lifted the tack onto her left arm and led Chazie with her left hand. She nodded towards Gerard and Bing, but wasn't able to say anything for just as she opened her mouth, Chazie let a loud whistle sound into the air. Shut up, Chazie, no mares are waiting for you. Just Moon, and I feel sorry for the ol' gal having to put up with you. She said to her stallion, yanking the reins lightly. [/blockquote]

Gerard snickered a bit as he opened the gate. Awww, that's harsh. He led the chestnut out of the gate. Moon's not that old. Bada Bing's curiosity had been aroused, and he too called out. A couple mares grazing in a pasture nearby replied, looking about to see who had called to them. I guess Bing's pretty good with the ladies, aren't ya boy? He patted the stallion's neck as he held open the door for Angel.

Twice as old as Chazie. Angel shrugged leading the pracing stallion away from the mares and out of the gate. Oh, stop, Bing. You're making Chazie feel bad. Angel patted her black stallion's back, as he snorted, she pulled her hand away, bits of hair had come onto her hand. Hm...your saddle must not fit qute right. She spoke in hushed tones. As she passed Gerard holding the gate, she paused for a moment, leaned forward and kissed him lightly. [/blockquote]

Gerard grinned and shut the gate. Well she's still not that old. And maybe if you bred her, her foal would be like a new Moon. You know, pass down her beloved lineage and whatnot. He suggested. They came to the outdoor washing stations and Gerard clipped Bing in. Now we gotta make you handsome for the girlies, Bing. Gerard told him with a smile.

Her liniage isn't anything special. Just some ol' nags from a ranch down the road. It's her personality. She said with a soft sigh as Chazie once again tried to rip the reins out of her hands. After some fussing and cussing, Angel was able to clip Chazie's shank to a ring on one of the washing stations. God danged horse. She mumbled as she turned on the hose, feeling the water before hosing down his legs. Oh, yes, because his rider's charm isn't enough. She said, her back to Gerard, a faint smirk playing on the corners of her mouth. [/blockquote]

Well, perhaps some of her personality traits'll get passed down too. Hey, it's worth a shot. If not, you got an adorable little baby. Gerard turned on his hose and sprayed it on Bing. The stud danced as the water washed down his sides, it's cool feel tickling him. He tossed his head, and snorted, still prancing about from left to right. C'mon, Bing, cooperate here. I don't want to get stepped on. Gerard muttered. Hey, his rider's not always going to be at his side to help him with those beautiful mares. He's gotta be able to stand on his own two feet.

Angel giggled quietly at Gerard's frustration. Yeah, I suppose so...but which stallion? She asked, continuously spraying down Chazie. There was one good thing about Chazie, he could be bathed easily. She finished his legs and started back up at his spine, the water trickling down his belly. She took a sponge, and dampened it, then she sponged his face wet. He shook his head slightly in irritation as she did so. Chazie whickered to the mares as Angel finished bathing him. [/blockquote]

Gerard went through as many stallions as he could think of while he finished washing down Bing. The stallion's eager whinny as he saw mares passing by brought him back from his trance. I dunno. I went with Sasha earlier today to get some horses. We could go check them out, then go through the others if we need to. Or we could do that after dinner if you'd like. Gerard had used the sweatscraper to get the water off of Bing and was now clipping a lead rope back onto his halter. It's up to you, he said, taking off the wash stall clips.

She used a sweat scraper to get the excess water off of Chazie and turned off the water as she mulled over the suggestion. Yeah, let's go put these boys up, then go look at 'em if it's okay with you. She said quietly, untying Chazie as he whinnied eagerly to the mares in the nearby paddock. There was an almost inauditable whinny sounded from one of the barns, it was surely Moon. [/blockquote]

Gerard led Bada Bing out of the wash stall, holding him with all his might as the stallion started to make his way after the mares who'd passed. Maybe we'll find you one of them later, but till then you gotta come with me. He took a carrot out of his pocket and held it out for the chestnut enticingly. Bing's ears pricked as he layed eyes on the treat and he quickly snatched it out of Gerard's hands. All right then, let's hit it. Gerard began to lead the way up to the stables. Legend's a pretty good relatively new stud, but then there's Cosmo Bolt and Devil Demon too. I can't quite remember the names of the newer ones, but I believe we got a couple of Friesians and Arabians.

The stallion's ears perked upwards as a carrot was held out for Bing. Angel's heels dug into the soft ground as he surged ahead, attempting to snatch the carrot for a snack. She yanked on the shank with a sharp intensitey and the stallion was brought back to her side by a firm hand. The ebon pelt rippled with excitement as the stud attempted to catch the eyes of a few passing mares. C'mon Chazie, you're being obnoxious. She muttered. Al'ighty. How many Thoroughbred studs do we have nowadays? She inquired. [/blockquote]

Gerard dodged the oncoming Chazie and Bing snatched up the carrot before the other stud could. Hmmm, let's see. Bada Bing and Bada Boom are Thoroughbred-Arabians, Cosmo Bolt, he's eight...Devil Demon's seven, Legend's six...wow, that's all the Thoroughbred stallions. Bing pulled on the lead as they neared the stable, eager to see if anything awaited him in his feed bucket. There's quite a few Arabians to choose from, too.

A sharp tug was released on the stallion's shank as Angel brought him back to her side. Alrighty...I'm concerned about breeding her to a stallion so that the colt would be a cross breed. I'd like a purebred, or something like an Appendix, or Paint. She said with a soft sigh. [/blockquote]

Gerard thought for a moment, then shrugged. Well I have no idea what you're looking for besides breed, so you'll have to look around yourself and see waht you want. The horses' hooves tapped on the brick floor as they entered the stable and made their way down the aisle. Gerard put Bing back into his stall, where the stallion snuffled about in his food bucket to see if anything had been left there for him, then met up with Angel. Ready?
